Strange Cat Strange Wilderness

Explore a nearly endless wilderness.

This version you play as a cat in search for fish to populate an old man pond.

Made during the 2023 Kenny Jam

Controls

• wsad or arrow keys for movement
• e, enter, or left mouse button to interact
• q, backspace, or right mouse button to cancel.

Current State:

• There is 8 rare fish to find.
• The old man dose not have any extra dialog for catching fish (I failed to add that feature in time) 
• It may be time consuming to find all the fish due to lack of navigation hints. Due to the endless generation, one could also get lost if they wonder too far from start and the important fishes do not spawn more than 42 chunks(~1376 tiles or ~22016 pixels) away from spawn. (Most are within 15 chunks radius of spawn)

Update 8/8/23

• added a win exe version of latest fixes and improvement from the original game jam version. 

Update 5/4/24

• added a win exe of the experimental build. Not much has changed except how the data is handled.
• noticable changes is a menu, music, fishing mini-game, and the way the world gen works.
